AFRICA FORUM: CHALLENGES AND HOPE
March 28 & 29, 9 am to 4 pm
Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies, Shepherd University
The Africa Forum aims to bring together people from the Tri-state area to increase
understanding of and engagement with development efforts in Africa.
The Forum will address the following topics: (through presentations and active dialogue):
• AFRICA’S STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE
• EVIDENCE OF HOPE FOR AFRICA’S FUTURE
• AFRICAN LESSONS FOR LIVING IN COMMUNITY
• EMPOWERMENT STRATEGIES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
